Is there a insurance that covers restoration of a landy when its not on the road / sorn ?

If the storage is where you live, it can be as cheap to just do a limited mile policy rather than a laid up policy.
Worth checking both prices! |

I used Footman James, they gave me more confidence than others because they were very interested in the current physical condition and made clear they were insuring exactly what I have.
Many insurers are not interested in knowing, trying to put it down as a complete, standard vehicle and instead focus on getting your money. I get suspicious that they are trying to stop me from accurately describing the state of the vehicle, giving them room to refute a claim should one be made. |

thanks i will phone them today , i got the same feeling they didn't want to know if it was off the road or not .

Every time I've looked at laid up policies, they have been the same price as limited mileage ones.
Never understood the logic? |

It does seem that the two words logic and insurance rarely appear in the same sentence.
