Do you think you belong on a forum for people interested in the finer details of how their vehicles work?

Do you have a mercury thermometer nailed to the wall next to the central heating controller?

Now you are being silly ~ I have a Lascar EL-USB-2-LCD data logger. It measures and stores up to 16,379 relative humidity and 16,379 temperature readings over 0 to 100%RH and -35 to +80°C:

Let me know if you need to see any graphs for the last 5 years... Whistle

What about the chap who claims to be able to “switch” TR2 on for £350?

https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic77550.html

If all the hardware and mechanical components are already installed I would be tempted just to have it enabled, for a fraction of the configurator price, once the car was in my hands?

You could always wrap it later I suppose but I have this slightly odd view that a Defender looks 'bald' with a contrast coloured roof. Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

I didn't opt for the Advanced Off-Road Capability Pack to get Terrain Response 2, Configurable Terrain Response and All-Terrain Progress Control.

I think part of the fun is manually selecting the TR mode, hence I have no use for the Auto feature of TR2. Configurable Terrain Response could give some benefit in some cases, but not enough to justify the price.

ATPC would have been quite cool, but I'm not sure if there'd been enough real use for it after the honeymoon period.

I went for the Off-Road Pack to get the rear diff lock though. 22MY Defender 110 P400e SE w/ Off-Road Pack, Driver Assist Pack, Cold Climate Pack, Comfort & Convenience Pack + ClearSight Rear-View Mirror & 11.4" Infotainment Screen

I needed the tow pack so TR2 was part of it, added the e-diff as $507 made it a no brainer.
Last week I had a few days off-roading and the only programme I selected was wade mode
on 2 out of 7 river crossing just to shut the parking sensors up. The vehicle coped very
well just in low range.. yet another pommie bar steward down under

Zilch, do the parking sensors stay off in Wade mode? In comfort mode I can silence them with the on screen icon but mine don’t get triggered in any of the other TR modes - they used to but I suspect in the last over the air update there was an update to disable them in off-road mode on the screen and with any other TR mode selected. I’ve just been out in the car and try as much as I can I cannot get the front sensors to work except in Comfort setting and On Road view for the cams and then there is a speaker icon to tap that will disable the peeping. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Hi Tim, when we first crossed I selected wade mode just for the fun of it, there were no
audible alarms when we entered the water, whereas when I just used low range depending on the
depth of water they kicked off, and when entering and leaving the crossing. I did not think
to disable the feature via Pivi, but will in the future Thumbs Up yet another pommie bar steward down under
