sell the rack and buy a flatdog / patriot style one, you can fabricate cross bars for the exped. rack but your tent will be 8 inches higher than it needs to be....
I did that on the 130 that had a brownchurch rack. |

As Camelman says, sell the rack. Unless you particularly need a rack for other purposes though, I'd advocate roof bars for your tent as they'll be lighter and cheaper. Darren

Thank you - yes, I do use the rack quite a bit (wife has horses etc) so would need one if we did swap them.
Is the argument against the crossbar solution just that it'll look a bit crap / messy - or is it also that it'll be a bit unstable? Ie because it is a rack on top of a rack, or is that not a problem? Thanks again both! |

A bit of both, really. There's no off-the-shelf solution so you'd have make some crossbars fit and then, as already mentioned, it becomes a lot higher than you'd typically have a roof tent. Darren
