Front Windscreen Security
Hello all! My first post here. We were recently unfortunate enough to have our 2.4 Puma broken into and parts stolen. It was factory standard security. They seem to have broken in through the front windscreen to gain access to carry out the necessaries.

Is there a product out there that can prevent someone from prying off the seal and removing the windscreen? I've already sourced products that cover the next / other levels of security, I was thinking if they couldn't access the thing in the first place it would deter them completely.

Being vague on the security details for the obvious reasons. Thanks in advance Smile

That's a very unusual way to get in, there are much easier ways. Shocked

I don't know of any off the shelf windscreen retaining products, but it wouldn't be difficult to invent one. I suspect they'd just break some glass or use one of the easier methods of entry though. Big Cry

Yeah, I have no idea what possessed them to go in that way. They had already done what they needed on the alarm. I don't know Laughing

I've considered welding a slim strip around the windscreen, but like you said if they really wanted to they could just break it. hopefully by then I'll have the rest of my goodies from LRD Security fitted.

Bad luck.

What did they actually take?

That sucks, and it sucks even more that it is such a familiar story. Big Cry

If the doors are gone, how do you know that they got in through the windscreen?

There is a lot of advice on this forum about ways to make it harder to steal doors and bonnets, and also to make it harder to break in or steal the vehicle. Sadly though there is nothing that guarantees safety, and in a society where crime seems to go largely unpunished and where there are no effective deterrents I don't see that changing any time soon.
