Hi Matt,
Once isn't enough. Advance planning is essential, because it's so busy. However, it's easy to rent a jeep, book on to official EJS guided trail runs and just enjoy the whole event. Can't wait to get back there myself, after travel bans finish, next one will be my 4th. Would be interested to see your jeep project, mentioned on here recently. |

They're not just paint, though they do show new colours on these cars. 2015. 4 years before the Gladiator was released. Click image to enlarge 2017. Half height doors. Recently became available to order in 2021, without the holes. Click image to enlarge 2019. 2 door pick up. Click image to enlarge |

Compared to offerings from previous years, they do seem a little tame this year. ~ at least on first viewing.

Yes, this year's vehicles are scaled back. Last year's Gladiators, that never got shown, are more interesting and they'll be there too.
I suppose it's a sign of the times we're in. Last year they couldn't show vehicles they had built. This year, nobody was sure EJS would happen. It was actually cancelled for a few days back in January. Attendance numbers will be down on normal, fewer people to see them. Then there's the problem of managing those that do go, you can't let everyone climb all over them now. I'm just happy to hear the event is running and Jeep are still supporting it. I'm surprised they've not done one of the new Wagoneers, or the new Grand Cherokee L, as they're the latest Jeep launches. No doubt they will have some standard versions of them in Moab too. |

This isn't the best commentary on the video, but it shows just how close the general public can get to the vehicles.
Pre Covid they were all unlocked, just climb in and have a look around. The axle and suspension upgrades available to fit new from the dealer (with warranty) or buy and fit yourself are also impressive. It's a different world, where enthusiasts are valued and welcomed. |
