2016 Defender 130 Puma 2.2 HCPU Santorini Black

Throttle cable adjustment

New cable fitted. Take up the slack using the plastic cable adjustment at the pump end.

Runs fine, pulls and boosts fine. After 15 or so miles you can feel you are not getting full boost.

Look under the bonnet and the cable has slackened its self off again and need to go back to doing it all over again. Am I missing something? New cable and adjuster seems to work fine! 1951 80" S1 2.0

How irritating. Are you saying that the adjuster is slackening off (un-winding)? [/u]

Yup. I have put a zip tie on each side to see how it goes. 1 day and 40 miles with no slippage... 1951 80" S1 2.0

What would we do without cable ties eh?! The other way I have seen is to smear some dumdum putty on the threads to create a little resistance to un-winding.
