United Kingdom 2016 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Montalcino Red
I expect that’s the one you can get a build sheet (from vista the JLR factory software) too but they are normally reluctant to give those...

Makes sense do you have a last amendment date yet? As if not I expect it’s in the holding pool like mine.

Not sure on the mud flaps need to get out and see them in the flesh once Cv19 allows. Also want to drive a a few to double check I have not lost the plot! It’s a big change from the SDv8 Sport Autobiography.

Considering the steps but again want to see if they get in the way, with auto access height might be more of a hinderance, my freelander 2 had them and they annoyed me as kept catching my leg on them!

Dash cam integrates well but it’s only 1080p so not sure if it’s good enough to capture number plates, also I am on the fence about dash cams evidence goes both ways!

A storage box would be great, even if it’s just somewhere to store some recovery gear then can fold the seats and put huge dog can make it in?

The V8 is a MY22 so hopefully will be back in stock by then. I have never put mud flaps on any car other than our traditional 90 that came with them. I do think the defender suits them though. Not sure how well the classic ones would stand up at 149mph!

V8 110
Just ordered a V8 110 Carpathian with a view to 'consolidate' my 2015 Puma 110 and my V8 from another brand!

Delivery is anticipated in the summer, so similar timeframe to the V8 90 orders mentioned here.

Agreed, re. 22's, probably too large - so will likely go for the 20's in grey.

Got the Vista order confirmation...
And what does it say? Drum roll please...status, holding pool. Bloody holding pool. Shocked Why say July delivery if it’s in the holding pool?

So I guess the wait is on for a build slot and then I’ll get a last change date.

I’d be amazed if it’s with me by July. But then perhaps I’ll get the new reg. I hope it doesn’t take too long though as there is always the danger of the new FFRR coming out and turning my head Wink

I have also ordered a 90 Carpathian larger screen sticking with the black 22s as I believe they come with cross climate tyres ok for the snow then maybe some 20” AT on a second set I would like to add black roof rails after and classic mudflats and arches but want to see the car standard first

That’s my plan too, the 22s will look the part might even consider using some continental sport contact 5s on to improve the feel. Made a massive difference on my sport. Then keeping any eye out for a set of 20s on ATs

Phew! Well not great for you but at least I know we are all in the same boat!

My view on the new FF and the sport is they will be more expensive again than the Defender V8, will have a long wait and always risky going for a new model right at the start. Run the V8 for as long as I enjoy it then have options at least. Plus I have to own a car with the SCv8 in it and the new ones are expected to have the BMW V8 twin turbo, just won’t be the same

Agree. I’m getting this one. I never want the first two model years because of all the changes. Even the defender shows this to some extent with the constantly changing engines. And the FFRR will be a complex beast. The defender and this engine sounds like the perfect fit. I fear the car after this one is likely to be electric Big Cry Big Cry

Same, as much as electric is likely the future I am not ready for the change yet! So makes sense to get a big V8 out my system first 🤣

In the words of the dealer “we hope to have a build date in the next few weeks” and “we think delivery will be in August”.

Translation: we haven’t got a clue 🙄
