170Nm is the correct figure for 'Wolf' wheels. You won't damage the nuts or threads. Darren

If you asked for alloy nuts, I can assure you that they can take 800Nm as a minimum. How do I know? Family member took his Defender to local tyre center to get new rubber on.
He came to me for some maintenance, and my weight of more than 80kg on a breaker bar of over 1m long, the nuts did not budge 🤬 then came another 1m extension, and finally they did. And no, it was not a corrosion problem. I think it was their 1” drive impact wrench that is set at full torque. The standard Landrover wheel wrench was not even a close match to undoing them. It just twisted on itself. Luckily no damage. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |
