Not sure it does it for me but the chassis is interesting. Built by Jensen International Automotive (JIA) and with prices starting at £147,500 (+VAT) ~ maybe for a lower spec engine.

A fair few DVLA points lost there, I wonder what they're registered as when complete - pretty expensive if it ends up on a Q plate Whistle 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Swap the wheels for some HD recreations of the original RR wheels in white, and that would be amazing. Monsieur Le Grenadier

Chassis is very interesting indeed. Can see any drive shafts though?

I've got mixed views on these types of creations.

One part of me thinks this one is very cool. It would be even cooler if they kept the externals as close as possible to the original.

The other part says if you are going to spend that much time and effort, why not do a nut and bolt full restoration of an original and have a timeless classic at the end of it that must surely increase in value going forward.

I keep seeing photos of this and can't decide if I love it or hate it. The idea of modern car underneath and the iconic RRC body is awesome. But for me I'd have to keep looking original (ish).

I think a bit like the Singer Porsche, the concept achieves two things: a unique design and a modern handling/performing/specified car, but in a genuine retro shell. A nut and bolt classic conversion means your handling, speed, comfort are of the 70s. I would never want all 911s, Series Defenders, Range Rovers etc to be turned into these creations, it’s awesome when something is absolutely authentic. But a small number turned into modern cars I think is great. Obviously, if the original version is super rare, such as the Porsche Speedster, modernising it wouldn’t make sense. But there are probably enough of the cars mentioned above to afford the luxury of offering both to the open market. Monsieur Le Grenadier

If I'm reading their website correctly, they've been doing the Interceptor for 10 years and produced 40 of them. So that's probably a small enough number to meet your criteria?

didn't they use a D3 chassis for these at one stage? They are nice but expensive. I just got really side-tracked on their sister Jensen site look at the shooting brake under special vehicles Cool

Yes, the previous incarnation used a cut-down D3 chassis (hence the arch extensions) - this still uses some D3/4 bits like hubs and steering. It’s a road-focused chassis, no low range and doesn’t look like a huge amount of suspension travel with those short wishbones.

I like that, a Lot

Change the wheels and white wall tyres, remove the light bar and badges on front..

Love the Old car look with new tech,

What's the inside like?

I would love that with the 110, Range rover underneath and all the new tech but the 110 shell ontop.

£147K does not even sound that bad? Not compared to what some of the tuning companies charge for leather and wood clad Landies... Lets face it you can get a new L663 defender for over £100K and that's... 'mass produced...'

Like it Thumbs Up
