Re opinions, won’t get any of them from me, just jealousy.

A friendly name from the FullFat Forum, it looks very much like we’ll be joining you with a new Defender but not for my Range Rover, I’m keeping that, for now. The Defender will be Swmbo’s, replacing her D4 I too prefer the full leather on the HSE but the dark cross beam is one of the bosses “non negotiable’s” so it will have to be an X Dynamic HSE, which opens a hole new can of worms with gloss black bits Andy. 22MY Defender 110 X Dynamic HSE D250, Gondwana Stone with too many options! 2022 Range Rover Sport D300 Dynamic Autobiography, Firenze Red with Black Pack. Good to see you!
Yes there’s no one single spec that ticks every box. I like the X Dynamic HSE but I don’t want part fabric seats. I like the look of the gloss black lower painted panels but do wonder how they cope with road rash and off road activity. The same goes for the XS, good spec (clear sight as standard) but then you can’t have the D300! Swings and roundabouts. 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |

Just going to point out that the ‘part fabric’ on the X Dynamic is not the same as the fabric on the other models.
It seems really hard wearing and no staining on mine yet, and the dogs have been jumping all over it! Cleans up easily and well. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy |

Thanks Gareth.
Any ill effects on the lower painted panels? I saw a post from a guy in the US and behind the wheels was destroyed already in a few thousand miles. 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |

As the staining referred to was officially noted as being due to "Incorrect fabric treatment at the manufacturer.", would it not be expected that this issue would be resolved by the manufacturer and so the issue related only to a batch of older vehicles now?

I saw that car, I’m thinking of going for the XS if I get a refund on my troublesome first edition but I’m concerned about the bottom body coloured bottom panels after seeing his post. Would be interesting to find out if other X dynamic owners are having the same problem or if it was a one off. |

That's what I'm hoping but I'm not taking any chances and am going to pre-treat the seat edges as soon as mine arrives - well maybe not as soon as it arrives, as I will want to drive it, but at that time I might throw some temp protectors over the front seats Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history) |

No problems with shiny bits. Only done 1200 miles on tarmac though. I have classic mudflaps which seem to keep most of the crud off.
Only damage is on the rear bumper from dog claws. So I’d recommend a cover of sorts. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy |

If it was a problem you could get the lower panels wrapped in ppf perhaps? 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV
