You don't have to change the springs, if they're OK, not sagging, sitting level and not too rusty. Standard original spec springs are the best compromise for all uses in a Defender. Shocks, any good brand manufacturer, replace both on the axle at the same time. Standard length if sticking with standard springs. |

It was a trusted indie who was just letting me know I need to think about changing the shock(s) soon, and I wanted to check whether I should do the springs at the same time. I’ve had some great advice both here and in the correct Defender area! Thanks.
