France 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS DCPU Zermatt Silver
Waeco Fridge
I made a cooking table/bar that folds down from the DCPU bed this morning. While in the shed looking for materials, I found a brand new Waeco CCF-18 fridge, still in the box and original plastic packaging, never used. From the paperwork I can see I bought it in Amsterdam in 1999! I remembered it was for my boat, but I never got around to using it.

Does anyone know any thing about this fridge, and if it is any good?

It is 12/24V only. I plugged it into the Defender and it didn't do anything, so need to take it apart and investigate further, assuming it is worth keeping...

If it is a CDF18 - with a carry handle - then its a very good reliable little fridge
I have had mine on many trips and its a good size for keeping the basics fresh (meat/dairy/salad)
Not big enough for all the beers - but great in the back of my 90
It is a 12/24 v - but they use to sell a mains converter cable - but I have only used mine in the defender

As Boode says - good reliable and powerful unit. I bought my CDF18 secondhand from a previous member of this forum several years ago. Have used it often. I would suggest it's not large enough for a family but I didn't want a huge unit. For solo travelling or use by a couple it's just the job.
