I did try and post a response earlier but corporate wifi keeps kicking me out???? new ship what to say.. Like above, think the damping is excellent, road use have them 3 clicks from open, unladen 90, turn them all the way up for towing the boat / ifor / anything heavy (still to test them completely loaded with the 3.5t Ifor) but the boat when im moving it is probably 2.5-3t as i take a bit of kit with me. Tried them on some pretty rough 'gravel' roads up in Scotland at a pretty quick pace and was very impressed with the damping and control basically a mini dakar truck is how i'd describe the feel in comparison to a standard def, yes it rolls more than the previous bilstein setup but i also changed springs when i did the shocks from 'sport' to 'comfort' can't really imagine a better setup for my usage and would recommend to all. |

They'll be dropped into my 130 build in the coming months, so I've not put much thought into it yet but I know what you mean about bump stops. I'll be running compressed air on the truck so the plan is to use a Firestone 1T26D-7 air spring in each corner instead of a conventional coil. This will give a theoretical travel of 378 mm (at least according to this diagram) although my upper bound will be limited by the 9 inches of shock travel.
However yes, from what I understand my desired setup will require larger bump stops and limiting straps as I don't particularly want airbags dislocating as I hear the bags can get pinched when relocating with cones, potentially causing a puncture... Good news!
Prolinx got back to me this morning and it is possible to install the compression adjusters on these shocks: "The cost would be £30 per shock to fit them plus £40 per shock to revalve the unit to suit, plus the cost of the adjuster. Prices are plus VAT." That makes it £149.44 cheaper to buy the non-adjusting shocks and have them installed with the compression adjusters by Prolinx. That's for all four including VAT, but not postage to and fro. Stuart Cummins 130 Build Thread 58 130 Double Cab HCPU - Cairns Blue 04 110 Double Cab - Black (gone) 07 Audi RS4 Avant - Silver |

Nothing wrong with dabbling in retail therapy
I'll likely get my rears done sometime down the line, but it'll still come out £364.64 less than buying the same setup (non-adjust front/adjustable rear) at full price! Stuart Cummins 130 Build Thread 58 130 Double Cab HCPU - Cairns Blue 04 110 Double Cab - Black (gone) 07 Audi RS4 Avant - Silver |

Sounds good. Have you worked out how much extra bump stop is needed? By my reckoning it's approx 40mm to get to a non bottomed out shock when the bump stop is used.
Where have you found to get axle travel limit straps from? Am thinking that's also my solution as I don't want to dislocate even with springs, but can't find any or anyone who knows anything about them or the set lengths. |

Not too sure on the bump stop sizes, but I believe standard bump stops are 58 mm in height. My advice would be to contact the folks over a Gwyn Lewis, they'll be able to tell you for sure, but I suspect that you'll require an extended set.
As for limit straps, that's easy. Just jack the truck up to full droop on the spring (usually it's full droop on shock but in your case you want the uncompressed spring to be the limit) measure from the 2 points where the straps will be attached and order yourself an appropriately long set. The front and rear may differ a bit up to 60 mm. (source) Video here that better explains it despite his car being made of scaffold... Just one place I found to buy some I then got distracted on anther site looking at straps and I now want one of these... Can theses be used without a 2” lift?
As in, using standard springs? |

It's not the lift that's the problem, it's the compressed shock length.
By my reckoning yes you can fit to the front with only a +2" turret. But the rear there's no getting out of dislocation cones and spring retainers at full droop, and +25mm bump stops. |
