Governments have made the decision that electric is the future, so, until it doesn’t work out, it is.

If we move to electric cars with zero tax...
what will the government tax the car driver... No Car tax income, no Petrol tax income... For using the roads, going into cities etc? They will have to re coup an awful lot of money. I know its the way we are going, and I'm sure one of the cars in our own fleet will be electric next time round... |

They will put on road use charging instead, at rates determined by whether you use a motorway or a B road and how far you are travelling, if it’s town or rural. We’ll be back to toll houses all over the country again like they had 200 year ago because if they cannot get track and trace to work what chance road tolling? 9i know the M6 toll works fine but that’s a private company not the HMRC) Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! Last edited by Tim in Scotland on 2nd Mar 2021 3:56pm. Edited 1 time in total |

It fascinates me that some people have the wealth to spend quarter of a million pounds on what is basically a toy! Good on them, I know I would if I could!
