Missing air box rubber bung in drain hole?

I was under the 110 yesterday (seems to happen quite often lately), anyway, while checking things after a long trip back from the Alps, I noticed I was missing the rubber bung that should close the water drain hole, underside of the air box.

First picture is from my 110, taken from under the vehicle, looking up (if that makes sense) and showing the absence of it.
Second picture, taken from the web, shows what it should look like (white/transparent thingy).

I assume this is supposed to act as a kind of seal when the engine is running (sucking air) to avoid water splash when driving in very wet conditions or big puddles entering the air box from under there, and when engine is off to let water or condensation out.

Does anyone know where I can source this little fellow ? (only option I've come across yet it to source the full air box assembly, which is a big NO cost wise).

It is just a little flappy disk thing that fits on the peg and (supposedly) gets pulled against the seat by the partial vacuum in the airbox when the engine is running, and drops down to let moisture out when the engine is stopped.

In all honesty not having is not going to make any difference whatsoever unless you regularly wade your vehicle, and in this case the terrible design of the induction pipework and the many leaks it has mean that you are dicing with disaster and should upgrade the intake system.

You might be able to find something like an old=fashioned tap washer that fits, or something along those lines, but to be honest I wouldn't both replacing it at all.

You might find someone on the forum who has taken one off whilst sealing the airbox. I must have had one from the time I ran a sealed standard airbox, but think it must have gone in the bin, I'm afraid.

Thanks all for replies

I have indeed been lurking at the Nugget airbox for some time, although cannot justify the expense to myself as yet.
My first step into that direction should be first to tackle the induction pipework itself with sealed and bigger pipes. Now, this is not easy in my set-up as I have a LHD with the heater/blower in the way as well as a Provent added in that part of the engine bay (see pic) so space is scarce, and I'm still trying to figure how to route a 80mm diameter pipe from the side vent to the airbox.

Until I figure it out and decide to part with the corresponding cash, I will do as Blackwolf suggested, try and find a rubber tap washer to slot in existing airbox drain hole, at least it will give me some piece of mind, and possibly avoid horror stories as I've been reading on another forum (https://www.4x4community.co.za/forum/showt...Air-Filter)

To close the topic ... created my own flappy disk from a 2mm thick rubber sheet.
Went in nicely, and happy to have restored the original capability of the airbox drain hole.
Most probably this is not going to make any difference whatsoever, but it's done now
