It looks really good. Would you mind sharing how much your painting cost?

Looks great. Oslo is a really great shade, nearly as good as Loire!

This weeks job was to fit the Flatdog 21” light bar. Shamelessly stolen the idea from others on this forum. I decided that I was going to revert back to a standard front end with original lights so needed a bit of an upgrade to the lighting anyway.
I have standard headlights with upgraded H4 bulbs and I have a Landreizeger loom on the way to give a decent light output for standard road driving. That left me with the original wiring from the front spotlights that used to be on the truck. It’s complete with the original spotlight loom and switches on the dash so I thought I would re use this. The lightbar will be switched on with the high beam when in use. As my car has AC ( decent spec for a 2002 model ) the front end will look as standard as possible. It’s a look I prefer and re uses the wiring looms already in place. I think the AC condenser will need some attention but that can wait Click image to enlarge 2002 Td5 | 90 County Station Wagon | Oslo Blue 2006 Td5 | 90 County Station Wagon | Tonga Green (Gone ) 2002 Td5 | 90 County Station Wagon | Zambezi Silver (Gone) Last edited by Bev on 3rd Mar 2021 9:17pm. Getting closer to the finish line now. Just the front bumper to refit now it’s been rubbed down and repainted to finish off the front end. Still to connect up the landreizeger loom and hidden lightbar.
Once the new rear door is fitted we can refit all the door seals and start the fine adjustment of all the various panel gaps, I’m sure that will take a bit of time. All the paint and repairs are done. Just the final refit of all the ancillary parts and interior trim to go. The upcoming MOT due on the 20th of this month is the deadline. Hopefully the next photos will be of the fully finished truck following a decent polish and protective coating.. MOT time. This is her just washed down ready for a couple of mechanical bits like brake lines and exhaust section ready for the MOT next week.
Still needs a final wax and polish once it’s back from MOT..... hoping to retain the 19 years 100% pass rate with no advisories ever ! That looks so good. Oslo blue as it should be. Nice and shiny.
If they did the new Defender in that colour I’d change mine 😆 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy 1968 S2a 88 aka Bob 2014 Jaaaag F Type 3.0 Supercharged. |

Yes replaced all the main seals on the tub capping and roof, along with new bulkhead and vent flap seals. Also replaced all the window rubber on the windscreen and alpine lights as they were getting old.. Will get some final photos next week once it’s all polished up. 2002 Td5 | 90 County Station Wagon | Oslo Blue 2006 Td5 | 90 County Station Wagon | Tonga Green (Gone ) 2002 Td5 | 90 County Station Wagon | Zambezi Silver (Gone) |

The whole restoration and paint job was completed by retrograde autobody in Blairgowrie. They repaired the doors, wings and chassis points at the rear. Basically all metal work and paint. 2002 Td5 | 90 County Station Wagon | Oslo Blue
