130 Double cab rear seatbox advice
I've nearly collected most of the panels needed for my 130 DCPU project. However, I can't find many references to the rear seatbox arrangement. I presume from looking at the parts catalogue, the B/C post assemblies are the same as those from a 110 CSW?

Could anyone shed some light on this for me please? Some photos wouldhe great too if at all possible!

Thanks,

Yes from memory (we have sold the 130) there is a full width flat floor with a raised rectangular plinth style box bolted to the floor, that creates the seat box.
If you cant find one, it would be a very simple fabrication, that would be the route I'd take to be honest as you could build some useful storage into it.

Thanks Nidge,

I had thought this was the case, as it would need to bolt to the second row floor, rear bulkhead and B/C posts. As you say fabricating one would allow for a storage box of some description and I would hope dimensions become apparent once all of the other bits are in place... 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

No Problem.....just remember to allow for inner door panels as the seat box stops couple of inches short of the floor in the width to allow for the door thickness.

I have a 130 rear seat box I have taken out of my double cab as I am converting it to a station wagon with disco 3 seats.
Can get you photos on Sunday if you are interested.

Following some more investigation, it looks as though the b post assemblies also differ. The c post which is attached to the sill on the 110 CSW is not present on the 130 DC and is replaced by the rear bulkhead. The an infill panel which attaches to the sill and the bulkhead provides the edge for the seal to be fixed to.

I can't seem to see the seats/seatbox you mention in the for sale section.... 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

Right the “t” pieces that comprise the b-pillar and sills are not like the 110, they don’t have the angled bit at the back.

Maybe this pic from when I took my truck apart will show it ok.

That's a huge help, thank you Jim!

looks as though standard 110 B/C posts with the C posts removed might work which is encouraging. 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

You’d have to extend them, they’re longer. That couldn’t be too hard though.

To save starting up a new thread, could someone confirm if the below is correct please?

1. The brackets circled in red in Nidge's photo aren't required per se and prevent the seats from folding unless unbolted?

2. The brackets circled in blue have a higher pivot point than the 110 SW brackets? Anyone have some? Wink

3. Could anyone confirm what chassis brackets are required please? From studying AndrewS' longshank build photos it would appear that only the 130 DC body crossmember is required and the 110 striker support chassis brackets won't work due to the rear bulkhead.

Photos/advice greatly appreciated. 1985 127 V8 Build Thread
