LS3 V8 indulgence.
I did a day helping out Dan at DT yesterday, as he’s really busy and his usual employee had taken a few days off.

I was replacing the plastic hoses for the air operated winch free spools and the lockers, with braided nylon hoses and associated fittings.
This thing is just awesome, with a s/c v8, billet Syncro t/box and lots of other rad stuff. Built for Ultra 4 stuff.

Dan has a few big builds going on, this particular one is going under a 90 that came in with a 3.9 .
Here’s a little bit of progress with custom building the headers and pics of the type of lengths he goes to with the type of stuff you wouldn’t see... engine and gearbox mounts.

Now that's a piece of engineering. I wish I could weld stainless like the guy who made those manifolds. Defender 90XS SW

Practice, practice, practice discomog! And make sure your comfortable. I can’t weld anywhere near that nice but welding bits of scrap a few times a week is getting me closer.

I don't know if you saw this vid i posted onto another thread few weeks back.

This is the tuning of a US King of the Hammers Ultra 4 Bomber Chassis with LS....It sounds amazing.

Also interesting as to how much power is lost from the engine to the wheels, and has for drilling a hole..... Shocked

The guys here came 24th. Awesome race as it was shown live

Turn the sound up and enjoy

Ah yeah that’s cool. I watched the whole race, LIVE, even Mrs Greeni likes watching it!
Cool Cool

Dam at DT actually did the KOH a couple of years ago, one of a couple of European championship winning motors that won a place over there, the organisation paid for everything to be shipped over !
