Fitting 52” light bar to Flatdog RAX roof rack

After taking receipt of the 52” light bar it became clear the supplied brackets would not fit directly to the Flatdog. Looked at their light bar fitting which is a neat way of securing. This would not work as the 52” is too wide.
Decided not to drill into the Flatdog frame. Chose to fabricate a metal plate sandwiched between the leg and the frame and all bolted together. Quite a lot of adjusting and easing required.

Quite happy at the result. Defender 110 XS SW Puma - 2011

I have a similar issue with a mates 90 I'm adding bits to. He went out and brought a 52" lightbar before i had the car off him to fit OE LR roof rack. The rack as its own spot light fitting mounts but nothing there to fit the 52" jobbie. I don't really want to drill the roof rain channel to fit those brackets available on ebay. Anyone seen anything that i can use without drilling, he's all for using cable ties lol... Putting Dreams on Drives at JLR Solihull..
