Certainly looks very OEM.
"an experienced fabricator such as VA-K Innovation in Mexico, which spent five months figuring out how to turn an LR4 into a luxury pickup truck. After carefully examining Land Rover's integrated body on frame chassis, VA-K's crew based just outside the city of Guadalajara extended the frame using the standard tubular steel method, adding OEM parts where possible with custom electronics for the power rear window and LED lighting." https://www.thedrive.com/news/39238/a-land...eally-need ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge Last edited by Supacat on 13th Feb 2021 12:37pm. Land Rover have really missed a trick with this sort of thing. They could have cleaned up in the pickup market 10 years ago. Darren

That is a heck of a good looking pick up.

That looks really good, but it could do with a longer bed.
The interesting thing is that what’s under the L319 was going to be a platform for a potential new Bronco and Defender, hence the hybrid construction (the weight of which is a non-starter nowadays). |

Imagine what these guys could have done if the new Defender had been built in Mexico after all...

Agreed - most of the farmers around here abandoned Land Rover long ago in favour of Japanese pick ups. There are a couple of Disco 1's converted to pick ups and one Classic Range Rover - these are hardly ever used and will become the "barn finds" of the future ![]() |

I really, really, really, really, really like that... ![]() Needs a bit more attention to some of the details like the inside of the tailgate & the drop down mechanism but the concept is brilliant. As a confirmed D4 driver already I would have one of those in a heartbeat if they were available as a production model. Why, oh why didn't LR think about something useful like this when putting together the new Defender? ![]() |

That looks great!
Good and useful proportions. A very civilised alternative to a 110 DC. ![]() ![]() One of LR´s best creations just got even better! 1998 Tdi 90 SW, 2008 Td4 90 SW, 2012 2.2 90 SW, 2" raised Trailmaster/Terrafirma Heavy Track Raids, 255 MT´s, Recaro CS´s, anorak, wellingtons |

Despite the Disco 4 front end, thats a Disco 3 / LR3 underneath - dash gives it away.
Still, a nice job though. Steve N | 21MY Defender ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Well spotted. It turns out that it's a 2006 model. Darren
