Looking at it, 10k looks possible... I know some ls3 swaps are quoting 35k+

£10k including the labour? If that’s the case I might not even wait till this lump dies!!

I believe that's you supplying your own labour... I might pencil it in for the end of year depending how covid goes, I already have the galv chassis sitting there in stock..

Similarly impressed.... but how did you come out at 10k? (I WANT it to come out to 10k trust me.... just don't understand). The way I see it you're into a new bespoke gearbox. It won't fit the MT82 bell housing. As soon as you do that, even if you buy a second hand engine as they suggest, you're above 10k? That's without accessories and fitting complications like the steering box? If the bell housing was the same between the coyote and the puma it'd drop straight in and you'd have a manual coyote with no "rearward of the engine" modifications save for the fuelling. |

It’s probably £17/18k in parts. As mentioned, that is doing the swap yourself so labour is what your time is worth.
LOF say they sold their rolling chassis with motor for £7k so brings the parts bill to £10k or just over. 1989 90 4.3 V8 2012 L405 OF 2014 D4 HSE Lux (SOLD) 2015 90 HT (SOLD) @d9o.mf |

Gearbox, we used a one of one custom MT82 gearbox, the front half is the mustang manual Ford box with the Mustang gear ratios, the back of the gearbox was the Land Rover TDCI MT82 6 speed, this ‘hybrid’ was the work of Ashcroft transmissions in Luton!
`I guess this is the question - what does this cost, I was quoted 6.6k for a Tremec t56 to make a manual ls3 work. I would maybe assume the 10k included selling the original engine + Box? Unsure as I only noticed it earlier and thought I would share, haven't delved too deep yet. |

What would he ideal would be to adapt the front end of an MT82 to an LS3... As that appears to fly straight in the front without changing very much?
Certainly seems people don't have the issues listed that LOF had to overcome with the steering box etc? |

Merging the 5.0 MT82 to the Defender MT82 was a huge feat of engineering, won’t be doing that again ! Dave

Sounds interesting.
Have you got a link to it to look through pricing and what's included? How does it end up packaging in terms of the front end of an LS3 and steering box etc? |

isn't a L83 going to be rare as hens teeth in the UK tho?
I see they are common in the usa, the 5.0 coyote is obtainable used in the UK, L83 doesn't seem to be... |
