Garage floor paint - epoxy resin?
Hello

Looking for a floor paint onto concrete.

The area is 72m square.

I've been told epoxy resin? Is good.

Any views on this or other options? Something I can do myself...rollar it on..

Thanks

Resin is good, however it’s not the right time of year to do it unless you can leave it for a fair time under constant temperatures and not drop below 5 as it’ll be a right pita.

I’ve used it on roof’s and then used it on a few workshop floors and it’s a good coating, but slippy when wet.

You can get an additive which creates a non slip surface, but I found that soon disappears once you start wearing the surface down

As with any coating, it requires good preparation and you need to be a on top of the timings when it’s mixed.

Yes, you can roller it on Thumbs Up

Hi Stacey,

I suggest you use an epoxy primer, flake it and final coat (polyurethane). Makes the floor dust free and I clean mine after major work with degreaser and water. My garage was roughly the same surface area and you will have to move quickly to get it all done in one hit but the result is defintely worth it. IMO.m

Over the last few years i've painted a couple of turbine hall floors with a product called Mac Coat. A 2 pack paint designed for concrete floors, not the cheapest but easy to apply. Cut in with a brush then roll it in with a 9" roller. Very hard wearing and easy to mop clean
