Slightly odd 'wanted'. Looking to buy a FlatDog 110 Roofrack off a non forum member. Usual suspects (TNT, DPD, Parcelforce etc) won't quote for the item on a non commercial basis. As such, wondering if there is anyone who is likely to be making the following journey in the next six weeks.
From Flint nr Chester ideally to Dorking/Surrey, Or I can provide an address in Bristol or numerous in London/SE, to suit. Wimbledon, Kingston, Hammersmith, Kensington, Weybridge, Walton, Hampton etc. Rack is 2.8m x 1.4m and I'd estimate 50kgs, so will either have to go on top of your rack (if you have one) or in a van. Appreciate these are Covid times, so this might seem like an odd request. As mentioned, no rush. Happy to pay for fuel, time, hassle, BK or KFC lunch etc. If you're into 14-course taster menus at your favourite Michelin starred restaurant, then I'm out. Be keen to get back to the guy today with an answer. Thanks in advance Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Unfortunately I can't help, but I've used Paisley freight in the past for things like bikes and other large items, might be worth giving them a call? Also worth considering the usual Anyvan/shiply if you get stuck, I was put off initially but providing you read recent feedback etc. and the courier is insured you should be fine! 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

Thanks both. Having not lived in the UK for 15 years, I'm entirely unsure of what is/isn't available. I'll look into your suggestions. Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've used www.shiply.com for all sorts of weird stuff over the last couple of years (including getting my Unimog delivered!)

'Including getting my Unimog delivered'. That's not a comment you hear every day or something you could suggest at your local Post Office.
Thanks for the link. Just contacted Big Dave, will see what he says first. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

If Big Dave can't help you out, have tried the usual suspects such as parcelhero parcel2go and interparcel who sell commercial courier space for the big names like DHL, DPD, fedex, UPS etc?
Guessing expensive given the size though > 110 XS Double Cab |

Thank you all. Four surprisingly good quotes from Shiply. Dave was first to answer but his main guy for that job has been hit by Covid. He says the other quotes I have (roughly £115) are on the money. Vendor happy too.
Can anyone clarify how to pay on Shiply? Obviously I won't be there to collect and hand over a briefcase of cashola. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

I'm planning to be passing Mont Blanc at Easter in my 110 if you want it bringing there.

You'll pay shiply a fee up front (usually 20-25%) of the cost. (This goes directly to shiply, not the courier). The rest of the payment is usually directly to the courier on delivery. It's always worked ok for me, assume you could also pay the courier by paypal or similar |

Gotcha. Can each company see the other quote? Down to £93. Not bad for a 110 2.4m roof rack from Flint to Dorking Monsieur Le Grenadier
