A guess, and it’s a rough guess based on prices I’ve paid for areas to be resprayed on other vehicles . Ie doors , wings, rear quarters etc after I’ve replaced / repaired them for friends and family is £600-800. It’s quite a large area but not to tricky to mask off. Blending in to other panels if the rest of the truck is black adds cost.
It may be worth a call to CSK landrover in Buntingford. They must have done quite a few defender roofs in their time so should be able to give a ball park figure over the phone, a better one if you provide pics, and a full quote if you take the truck there. I expect they are only 40-50 miles from you. https://www.cskautomotive.co.uk/the-land-r...hop-valet/ |

The last time my cousin did that exact job in his bodyshop, he charged £250.
Simple job and not as much paint as you think.....mind you he is up here in the land of perpetual drizzle😬 |

I had mine wrapped. Looks mint and is acting as a plastic rust proof layer. Cost £150 in total. It's also removable if you don't like the colour.

Hi, sorry, late to the party...
I had mine done at a place in Wiltshire, back in March. Was £350 - but that included a bit of remedial - I had some blistering on the back and peel on the top. Really good job - will be taking something else back for some work... |

Was less than £300 for my 90 that had lost its lacquer and was in a very bad state (went from red to black) Click image to enlarge |

Hi Adam, Resurrecting the thread here, where was this from? I'm looking at getting some side panels sprayed in the Midlands area and this sounds like a reasonable price. Presuming you would recommend them of course. Thanks, Alex Alex 2013 2.2 TDCi Puma Hard Top https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72473.html |

I would like to get mine resprayed too, or at least re-lacquered. The lacquer has peeled off in the sun of 2020 2005 Td5 90 XS

Do they take the roof off when spraying a different colour to bodywork or is it just sprayed into the gutter if that makes sense? Cogito ergo sum

No need to take it off, the gutter is a clean line to include or exclude in the colour change.
I had mine done recently and with the fitting of alpine windows cost £600 Click image to enlarge Ride like you stole it!! If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do… 2011 2.4 Puma 90 HT |
