thanks but I think structural damage is one step too far for £30k.

Would be worth a phone call. If they have stuck it on a new chassis It could be a good buy.

A friend of mine used to work in the bodyshop trade & always said that buying a 'Cat' listed car was always a bit of a gamble but was worth a punt if the following was adhered to:

1. Extensive photographs of the damage before repair
2. Ownership history & a chat with the owner when it was damaged
3. Photographs of the repair process & more importantly who did the repair
4. A visit to the repairer for an honest appraisal
5. Full service history
6. Substantially cheaper than an equivalent undamaged car

He also always added "don't expect to sell it on easily"

This XS has been on FleaBay for weeks & to be honest I think £30k is ridiculous for a structurally damaged car...I've got a genuine 2016 65 plate XS which is my baby & if I got £30k for it (should I want to sell of course) I'd be rather pleased.

Also, the black Boosts don't look quite right...not sure they were even sold/option in 2016? Since 1973...S1, Air Portable's, Defender's, but only my Wolf TUL HS GS remains

Black Boosts were never an option. They only came in silver. Darren

So the 90 achieved just short of 30k including fees and vat at 29750.

Though for an extra 15k one could upgrade (depending on opinion) to this..

My experience in reviewing the market for a 90 XS mirrors that of Ashcurze i.e. pricing in the order of £28K plus for a 2012/2013 plate.

Hi
apologies I can't PM you as this is only my second post, long term member but I'm a bit silent on the forum
I've got a 2010 XS with folding rear seats and no bulkhead. The car has been upgraded in many ways and I've a massive history file on it. Currently done 34000 miles and recently serviced and MOT'd
PM me if you want more details and I can send them over
Based in the New Forest so about your 100 mile limit

Thanks all for the help and recommendations, based on speaking to a few decent garages (E H Douglas and Foley SV) test driving a few and trying to get in and out of the back seats in a 90 I decided to try and find a 110.

I found a good factory spec XS fairly locally and went to see it this afternoon. Hopefully it'll be ready for next week and I'll be contributing to the forum as an owner!

As much as I wanted a 90, I'm sure they'll be a slue available that look amazing now I've found one, probably for far less than I was planning on paying, I needed a 110.

What I've learnt so far speaking to people on here with ones to sell, whack another few £000s on, unless you're selling to people on here of course 😉

Congrats, looks great. it’s encouraging as a 90 owner that values are strong, I’d be interested to know what my 22k mile 63 plate would go for, not that I’ve any inclination to sell it. EH Douglas look after mine and I can highly recommend them for servicing
