My windscreen seems to sit a couple of mm back from my bulkhead is there some sort of shim to re align this for the brackets 🤷🏼‍♂️

Would that not re-align once you replace the window block & tighten everything back up? I have a thick washer on the top bolt on the inside bracket.

No gave that a go but think the seal needs breaking first

I'd just give it a gentle tap with a block of wood and a mallet. There are vertical pins between the top of the bulkhead and bottom of screen so it can't go too far. Darren

There are no shims or stepped blocks available for that joint. It needs to be re-aligned. Darren

I can’t see how the screen and bulkhead are in line and the top of the block is flush on the windscreen frame and there is a 3mm gap on the bulkhead

Had exactly the same a fortnight ago. I decided to see if it settles after a while before undoing it again.
That reminds me I should check it tomorrow...

When I removed the block, I found it made a small indentation in the bulkhead, maybe that attributes to the misalignment. It also seems.to show in your first photo.
The old seal was more compressed/looked thinner than the new seal (I used a YRM one).

How's the alignment of the upper body with the cappings at the rear? And the line of the windscreen with the leading edge of the front doors? It occurs to me that the windscreen may be lying back at too shallow an angle and if the upper body were to be moved forward by a couple of mil it may just solve it. Darren

I have slackened all the side to tub bolts and roof bolts off as the sides needed to slide backwards to get the seal right on the doors and yes your both correct the roof needed to come forward to get the angle the same as the windscreen block but I’m still left with a gap of 2 or 3 mm on the bulkhead which I think is caused by the indent from the factory I may need to get the block machined to get it perfect

I have ended up slackening everything off as well as removing the wings what would be a good bulkhead to door gap and door to tub gap I set the overall opening to 34.5” as this is the only figure I can find but it only leaves me with about a 5 mm gap that looks to small to me

You’re over-thinking this somewhat, it will pull tight when the bolts are done up.

It’s a Land Rover, if you can get the doors lined up so the seals work and the rest straight enough then you’ll be doing well.
