Not a clear photo is it the alarm/immobilizer light? What side of the cluster is it on? Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.

It’s the LHS, so I guess alarm based immobiliser based

IF those pictures don't show a UFO sighting and it IS the alarm indicator:
I always thought LR could have explained that LED properly in the owner's manual. Here is what I have collected from manuals and own observation. Please correct, if I'm wrong. So after locking using the remote, the LED goes: Click image to enlarge 1) Normal case: alarm ON, immobilizer ON (3x indicators flash, CDL locked) 2) Driver's door open (alarm+immob. OFF, 1x horn, no indicator flash, CDL unlocked) 3) Alarm OFF, immobilizer ON 4) replace key fob battery; requires 2x press to lock (no indicator flash; alarm+immob. ON, CDL locked) 5) same as 4) but observed (4 taken from owner's manual) |
