sorry to resurrect an old thread, but decided to get the barn doors opening & ramp working yesterday (yahoo!) but now having a good look around I have a long list of stuff to do as preventative maintenance (other than oil and filters) has been lacking this last two years!

From the earlier comments the TDCI steering lower shaft is the same as the earlier td5 with the exception of the heatsheid to protect the rubber from the exhaust / turbo and cat?

As mine is a left hooker and there are no real heat sources near (other side of the block) is there any reason why I can't fit the td5 unit and save £100?

Cheers Keith

I cannot think of any reason why you shouldn't. The price difference between the two is rather obscene.

Thanks BW I can't see an issue with it - I will get one on order and post again.

Cheers Keith
