Part Number Help please
Hi All,
Hope you are all keeping safe and well.
I am trying to replace the Rubber cap/gasket/ grommet that fits to the bottom end of the gear lever inside the gear box.
Not explaining it great sorry but anyone that has fitted a ShiftR or quick shifter will know the part.

it actually fits inside the bottom of the black section in the above picture.

I don't think you can buy that grommet separately, only as part of the full assembly

There was a link in this thread to an ebay seller but don't think they're available anymore.

Do you refer to the part circled in red?
When I took the gear lever assy out, I do not recall seeing that part!! Perhaps was worn and removed by previous owner. What is its function? Or is just a dust excluder?

There is some sort of gasket, TSC500020 between the gearbox and the gear lever housing.
So all the dirt has to go through the pivot ball joint first! I would not spend the £100 or so for that little bellow. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

I have just stumbled across this if you're planning to go out and purchase a new one. I would expect the rubber grommet to be included (removed for auto/v8 conversion I assume) but may be worth an email to confirm.
