Sadly you'll have the same problem because the majority of motorists now are such wuckfits that they don't know when not to attempt to drive their Euroboxes and choke up the roads everywhere.

It used to be fun owning a Landrover when it snowed, but now you are just as stuck as everyone esle due to the gridlock. Shocked
On the rare occasions when you're not stuck through congestion, the same Eurobox drivers will act as though you have a moral duty to help them.

I guess if you have the good fortune to live in a rural area where people are intelligent it may still be fun.

Hahaha. I've already figured out a good method for getting from work to home... It may or may not involve deviating from the highway briefly at times... 2003 90 TD5 Hardtop

Shame we never get it this cold.....

I was in Northern Minnesota a few years back during February and actually got to go to Duluth....i can quite honestly say even the brass monkeys were indoors next to the fireplace drinking hot chocolate. Their winters are amazing especially if like me it only lasts a few days then it is grey mush.

The big ships on the Lake at present are due to come into harbour from the 15th until March as the harbours freeze too hard.

In the last beast from the east I was marooned on the A47 dual carriageway (I point that out as so little of the A47 is dualed) in a queue of traffic blocked by an artic stuck across the road at the bottom of a hill. Defender and 4 wheel drive absolutely no good, but, really useful when we were freed as I could cut cross country on my way home and get away from the mayhem.
Where was Greeni when I needed him?? I know that answer. The wrong side of the country Laughing
It was at this time I found out that the Puma Heater is not much good with the engine on tick over Big Cry

Not sure how they did free the truck in the end. It took four hours and he was very apologetic as he phoned up the local BBC radio to apologise to everyone which I thought was very nice Thumbs Up

During the original beast of the east (about a week after i bought my defender) i spun out and went into a hedge during when i tried to brake downhill but only seemed to pick up speed.

No damage, but the volvo coming the other way was in sheer awe and fear. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

The other problem i have seen is that the owners of these cars have no idea where their towing eye in in their car, no idea where to connect it, the towing eyes bend when you tow around a corner, the driver thinks that as soon as you start to tow them that they have to accelerate even through you have told them not to.

And what makes me laugh is that if they can be bothered to get out of their cars they are either wearing brown loafers or high heels.

One year i gave up helping car drivers and helped van driver only, you get no thanks otherwise and lets face it in this day and age if anything goes wrong and there is damage they will be quick enough to blame you..

The beast from the East was a time to remember, heater in the 90 was wroth less, neat windscreen wash would freeze up driving over the A171 which in places had snow bonnet deep were it had been cleared. The Egton snow clearing team lost a JCB when the snow started filling in behind them , the next morning I drove over a drift only to find a wall of 8 foot of snow and a yellow flashing beacon which just seemed to be sitting on top of the snow.

I had that meaning layers on my thighs didn't know each other. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.
