Earthing points
Hi guys.
Where are the main earthing points on a 1996 defender?

I'm getting a lot flickering of dashboard lights and headlights. I assume I've got a loose earth somewhere, and with it being both dashboard lighting (including heated screen telltale light) and the headlights I'm assuming it's a main earth.
I know about the one under the passenger seat, are there any more? 300tdi 90 1996.

Main earth cable goes from the battery to a terminal on the chassis under the seat box then onto the near side of the transfer box.
Bulkhead earth comes from a bolt on top of the offside of the transfer box and goes to an earth terminal point on the engine side of the bulkhead, just to the right of where the heater cables come through. 1997 Ex-MOD 110, Pop Top Camper, build thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72352.html

The earths don't just need to be tight, they need to be clean as well.
Best bet is to remove, clean & grease before re-tightening. ONE LIFE, GET IT!

The Durite 0-139-99 Anti Corrode is good as an electrical grease.
It’s clear, like a gel. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Cheers guys.
Hopefully I'll get some time tomorrow, weather permitting to clean up and tighten all the connections.

Got some strange issues with my rear lights that I think I've tracked down to being a dodgy earth somewhere. My negative battery lead goes to the tbox, then I've found another earth lead going from the engine to the n/s chassis engine mount and they seem ok. I think the issue is the earth in the rear chassis loom joining the bulkhead.
I've tracked down the main bulkhead earth point (red circle), but there appears to be another smaller one just below on the footwell slope (green circle, I've removed three ring terminals from it to clean). Is this usual? The smaller one was very loose so hoping that's part of the issue, but should they all use the larger one at the top?
Any help appreciated.
