Sorry for the silly question, but is this the low line drawer?

Low line drawer?

Not heard of those.

Longline drawer is a long drawer system fits the back of a 110, longer then the standard drawer.

Slimline chest fits on top of wheel boxes.

This ex demo store chest fits at the back of standard drawer unit in a 110 or by itself in the back.

Now packed away in a trailer ready for Peterborough, so I do not fancy unpacking trailer so I can take a photo. Sorry about that.

Leeds,

Thanks for the info, I'm not familiar with the different options. I'm after the draw system for my 90 if you exer stumble across any at a reduced rate?

James, is your 90 a Puma or pre Puma?

If a Puma then it will have a 'stepped' wheel arch box. As far as I am aware MSS drawer units have not altered to take account of change of wheel box leaving a gap.

Other things to consider chequer plate can be a major B to clean if you spill anything on it, also items can move around more easily on chequer plate.

I believe Safari Equip have adjusted their drawer top design to account for the step. Also they have a carpeted top.

Will see if I have some photos later. I doubt if there are photos on their website.

The slimline chest fits into a Puma, between the seat boxes and on top of the seat box, the step isn't a problem but the window housing on a 110 (not sure about a 90 but presume the same!) is deeper than the TD5 etc so it comes out over the step by about an inch. To help a bit you can put it on it's side so the door flaps down - one of the sales women at MSS does this and uses it as a shelf E.G.

But I put mine upright as it's meant to be, as it's easier to put things in and out of and of course you can use the top to rest things on without scratching anything Thumbs Up The rear fixing bolts go through the seat box whilst the front ones are used as supports - very solid piece of kit although pricey, so worth a haggle Very Happy Whistle

Zagato, I love what you have done with the windows, it looks as though you have a cupboard in the back of your truck for you WD40 etc.. Rolling with laughter it took me a minute to realise you are parked next to your cupboard Rolling Eyes

Leeds,

Mine is a 90 300Tdi with pick-up tub. As it's a soft top I could do with the drawer system rather than having to move my recovery gear to a secure place whist stopping over night

Andy (AJS) had one but I missed it.

Hi James, a friend of ours has a 90 pick up, he uses MSS slimline chests on top of his wheel boxes for his recovery gear.
A MSS drawer system is an expensive way of storing recovery gear in a pickup.

Other options include T chests from people like MSS or Safari Equip. Bare Box (website HERE) make a range of boxes which are cheaper and may suit your intended purpose better.

Considering how crazy Shocked ahem, I mean expensive these draw systems are, how about building in a false floor with a pull out draw similar to the ones you can buy for putting under the bed. A bit Heath Robinson but just a thought Thumbs Up A bit of chequer or carpet over the top and who would know Thumbs Up

Thanks for the tips guys. I need a drawer as opposed to a chest as I have side facing seats and need to keep the option of carrying passengers (that don't mind their knees round their earholes)!! Whistle

The draws pop up from time to time used for c£200 so I'll keep an eye of for a while.
