I was wondering this, ignore the steering wheel buttons it’s just the front sonar, but I wondered if the loom was going to be missing Mike

I thought maybe it was a software upgrade
Like you said the car has sonar can detect what’s in front And it can control braking and acceleration So just needs the software to tell it how respond But the dealer said that this CAN NOT be added they also Said you Can not add activity key All weird |

Dealers will never be your friend here...they largely wont know or wont understand.
I dont think the ACC sonar is in for the other systems - im not 100% though, it is a different system in other models The steering wheel needs to be replaced, unsure if the clock spring does - but there needs to be two buttons on there. Everything else i think is there (cameras etc) - so its just enabling it in the software which can be done, but might need one of the third party systesm (although the dealer system probably can do it) The activity key you can/could add i believe - I know someone who did it (i also did it on a past disco) One key issue to note - over years the loom is bespoke to the car eg doesn't have the connections spare to plug in new systems - therefore the amount you can add, in a cost effective way drastically decreases. If i get 5 minutes over christmas i might look at the tech manual and see if i can work it out Mike |

Dealers struggle with a winch
You are asking for the impossible My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years. |
