Drive Belt Help
Hi All,

First post here, so let me know if there is anything wrong.

I've recently bought a 1987 ex RAF Landy 90 2.5 Diesel 4c. It's my first Defender, so everything is a learning experience. Noticed today that the fan/alternator belt was missing. Obviously now lying somewhere on one of the many country roads I've been on recently.

I want to get it replaced myself and ASAP so I can get it back on the road and enjoy it, can anyone point me in the right direction as to what belt I need and where to get it from. I've been reading around and see that 1015mm is mentioned; however, EuroCar Parts and the old Halfords have 1025's. Any use?

Cheers,
Tom Very Happy

I do not know what part of Lancs you reside but there are two very good LR garages Land Ranger Services that have massive parts sections one is based at Atherton the other is based in Stockport either will sort the part or indeed any other part in minutes. https://www.landranger.co.uk/ For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

If you can always get genuine belts.
2 year guarantee and the knowledge it was designed for the engine using quality materials unlike some cheap versions!

I use Dayco drive belts. Every bit as good as genuine (original supplier?) but a great deal less expensive.
