Another Non Fixable 110 (MHEV)?
In addition to the TFL 110 this reader from Utah has a similar problem with a 110. It seems even LR can't fix their own cars.... https://tflcar.com/2020/12/land-rover-defender-car-stories/

Really makes you want to hate the car industry.

On another note I bought something from Amazon in November, before the month was out it failed.

Went onto the Amazon web site, requested to return it faulty, described the fault, asked for a replacement and hit send.

Was emailed the return code to use at the post office

Was then sent an email 10 minutes later to say the replacement was being dispatched and I would get it the next day, which I did.

Perhaps the industry needs to get its act together or just hand the keys over to Amazon and put the consumer in charge and scrap the dealerships.......

Interesting comment Mark, and I mean that in a totally good way.

I work for a procurement department in the housing/construction market and everything is now benchmarked against the Amazon experience, but in truth I dont think any large scale business has realised how surpassed theyve been by a (what would have been termed in the analogue world) brass plater.

Theyve introduced the consumer to a whole new world of expectation and very very few can get anywhere near it 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

Interesting story. Told by a JLR tech to Lemon Law it and doesn't know what to do?

The bit about a JLR Tech having to write a software patch for this specific vehicle is scary. Firstly for it being released with software that has critical defects. Secondly because these defects appear to be unresolved.

I saw something from JLR about the number of lines of code in all the different sub-assemblies, each from different (outsourced) suppliers and it looked like a systems integration test nightmare.

A system test nightmare whilst you're barreling along the motorway with your kids in the back relying on it...

I can't believe they are writing a specific patch for that car. It would be mental to do such a thing, managing specific car software versions would be insane. must be some artistic licence on the actual solution there, maybe a software patch being delivered for that model and specification not that individual car. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

It sounds more like a thing a dealer customer service manager would make up and tell an angry/frustrated new owner to try and show someone was going the extra mile to help them. If true it would concern me.

I've also seen postings on social media from third party IT consultants involved in writing programmes /code for SOTA, who are now no longer involved in the projects and don't appear to have handed over the projects to anyone in the company with the requisite expertise to understand what they have actually done.

It seems Change Management is not what it is in safety critical industries, after all barrelling down the MWay at 70mph plus with a car load of your family is an inheritantly safe activity...

Just watching TFL’s latest video where they are getting repeated low coolant warnings (and a suspension fault). WTAF?

Low coolant warning seems to a fairly common fault on USA market P400’s judging by posts on another forum. No loss of coolant/ leaks are reported so sounds like maybe a software issue. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Wasn't there a TSB for a revised clip/fixing on a previous JLR model that used to do this? The sensor ws not secured properly and used to move around in the tank and give false readings.
