Finally got one - TD5 110
So I bit the bullet with the 110 I posted https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic75522.html a month or so ago and picked it up from Pennine Autos a couple of weeks ago. Only taken a couple of pictures so far.
Have ordered Exmoor front seats, pedal lock box and Wipac LED headlights as the first of what will probably be many upgrades.

Thanks all. Completely different driving experience to my other car, a JCW Mini. But I still grin as much as I do when driving the Mini.
First issue has manifested itself over the weekend, which is that it doesn't always want to start. It turns over strongly but is not catching. Had a look on here for common starting problems and it could be plugs or injector loom. I have ordered 4 new plugs and will fit these to see if it solves the problem.

Yes, I am well aware that it is a magnet for car thieves. I have ordered a Pedal Lock: https://www.firstfour.co.uk/product/x-defe...-defender/
I am also in the process of getting the garage cleared out so I can keep it off the drive.

With the current temperatures a td5 should be happy to start even without any plugs

TD5s are great engines but do like to be looked after.
If possible use genuine filters and good oil if self servicing (my last service using LR filters cost £48 for oil x2. air and sump washer) fuel filter was replaced previous year.
Mine had starting issues couple of years back, had delphi injector washers put on and a year later same problem so had genuine washers put on and no problems so far.
good luck

Very nice, enjoy! I've seen a couple of nice ones at Pennine autos so it would be interesting to hear how they rate as a dealer, good service etc etc.
