Has anyone fitted an aftermarket one with better connections?
Obviously when they're fitted they're fine but the plastic barbs are brittle and snap with the slightest nudge in the wrong direction when removing the lines, that is if you can get the clips off in the first place As for the placement of the unit...enough said As i'm fitting new lines, i prefer something a little more solid without relying on those push fit connections. I'm happy to just use lines lushed on a jubilee clipped which makes removal at a later date easier. I've found a few filters and housings https://www.asap-supplies.com/products/rac...L0QAvD_BwE even an old series one is so much better; https://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/563190-f...to-ma.html Is there a reason why this couldn't be done? As long as the filter meets the criteria of water removal, surely it should be good? |
