Headlight and Upgraded suspension modifications
Hi there - I am new to the forum.

I am considering the following upgrades to a 2016 D90.
Landrover Suspension Upgrade: LRDSKIT90.

Headlights swapped for LR LED. LR069118

My questions:
1 Any idea on the cost of fitting the full suspension upgrade kit?
2. Is there a cheaper way of purchasing the headlights than £1000 each?

I know that there are less costly and equally performing alternatives, but would be interested in using LR OEM product if possible.

Many thanks.

Hi,
LED lights. Top brand aftermarket LED lights from Trucklite or Nolden will be around £500 to £600 a pair. I believe the LR kit is Nolden lights.
Consider lamps with a heated lens if you expect to drive it in snow. Unheated LEDs aren't hot enough to melt the snow and it builds up on the surface of the light.

The LR suspension upgrade will also be eyewateringly expensive when compared to top brand parts - again probably the same ones - from a different supplier.

Thank you for the replies... I appreciate that the LE route is more expensive. You are correct that the LR headlights were made by Nolden and I had reviewed them, JW and Trucklite but wanted to review whether there was a more cost effective way of getting a pair of the LT units.

Thanks re note of IRB... is that a persons tag or a business? Thanks.

I seem to remember that the Nolden lights were supplied to LR by 4x4 Overlander. Take a look here:

You may struggle to get the first generation Nolden's that were used, I'm not sure they are readily available any more. I went for the 2nd gen ones and the cheapest were from Urban Automotive who give a small discount if you quote Angry Pumas.

Another vote for Ian @ IRB, he's based not far from Brum airport and has done all my modifications including his IRB SVE suspension kit which has given the best ride I've personally tried on a 90 Thumbs Up

Many thanks all. The 2md gen Noldens look like a good option with the DRL. Are they plug and play?

I have the 1st Gen Noldens with sidelight, couldn’t fault them.
I actually prefer the 1st Gen design but the 2nd Gen no doubt are just as good.

The main sticking point is they are significantly expensive, but considerable perhaps to many as an Xmas present like I did a few years ago.
I’ve had them 4 or 5 years now without a single issue with them. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

They do have the same connector as your current Puma headlights but they're not quite what you'd call plug and play. The DRL will need to be wired in separately... with mine I already had a control unit fitted for the DRL's in the bumper so I linked in to that.

(I had someone more competent than me fit mine... I don't like fiddling with anything electric!)
