I’ve just given the main earth a really good cleaned and refitted it so I’ll see if the problem persists 🤞

Well this afternoon I had a site visits to do so took the defender and my power pack and a tow rope just in case

But it behaved all afternoon, I’ll use it tomorrow also and see what happens

Was the fixing loose or felt normal when you checked it? There is a specific torque for it. But they can get loose due to vibration. Chillin In The Backwoods🇬🇧🇺🇸

It seemed fine but I disconnected it and used a fine file and emery cloth on every serface so totally clean

Still having a few problems !! , so new starter motor going in next week , that will eliminate the starter to start with

Picked up the new starter motor today so hopefully it’s going in tomorrow

, it will be interesting to strip the old one and find the problem

Sm is actually a lot easier to fit than the interweb would suggest, i expected a long haul after reading on here about it (2.4) in the end 30mins ish and it was done. Cheers

New starter seems to have sorted the problem ( I hope ) starting every time now and new starter sounding a lot faster

took about an hour and 15 mins so happy with that
