Penman Hitch - who is the manufacturer?
Hi guys, could anyone with a penman trailer take a photo or obtain the details on the hitch it uses? i'd like to contact the manufacturer to see what they offer and whether it can be used in a project we are thinking of doing.

I struggled to get a readable pic so in case you can’t read it the figures in the boxes starting from the top read -

Type - MH35
- 0580
- 02/006
- 25.05
- 300kg

I have no idea what any of those figures mean but I hope it helps

Just for info, I contact Bradley a year or two back trying to find out if they could supply a damper for an MH35 coupling, and they were astonishingly and totally unhelpful, and even denied ever making the MH35 coupling even after I sent them a photo of their own maker's marking on it. This happened not long after Bradley had been taken over by Al-Ko, and as far as I could tell all the people with intelligence had either left or been given the push.

It was a profoundly disappointing experience, and I wouldn't hold out much hope for anything useful from them.

Should you find anything useful (especially a source of replacement dampers) I would be interested to hear of it. In the meantime, if you want an MH35 coupling with a completely shot damper but otherwise OK, let me know, you can have it free of charge if you collect it or pay for postage.

Blackwolf............All the staff that worked for Bradley's left or got P45's when Al-ko took it over, the current staff don't have a clue about the Bradley stuff and know little about the Al-Ko hitches. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

^^^ That was very definitely my impression. Very sad.

The take-over also marked the end of the excellent Dixon Bate Shocklink product.

Old thread revival....

But I know someone with a modified (factory unit) Bradley Penman hitch which is fixed (as in, doesn't compress for the brakes)
-
It came on his Penman so appears to be factory. I can get you his number if you're interested. He works just N of Worcester.
