Thanks Greeni. I’d love to pick up your yellow peril but I think a rather dull VW Golf is needed.

Ah, we all do that! Kids are now kicking up a stink at the prospect of selling her- it’s the only manual car we have and they want to learn to drive it around the fields....bloody kids 😁

The kids are right!

They'll never remember the VW.

True enough Slidey. It did occur to me yesterday as I wedged 7 bales of hay into the back of it..'this would make a mess in the P38'.

I'm loving the Golf. I had a 2.0tdi until 3 years ago which was only pushing 110bhp, but it was well put together. The newer one doesn't feel quite so solid - the switchgear / indicator stalks feel less solid or cheaper plastic. The engine revs so freely - the little 1.4 spins around to 5.5 or 6k rpm really quickly. I mean you don't necessarily go much faster but the its the thought that counts....that and 50mpg over the 900 miles I've done in it.

It has gone to Piggy501 on the forum!! He’s got a long trip home so fingers crossed he makes the ferry!! It was a pleasure to meet him today and do a socially distanced handover.

So I’m Defenderless for a while but not without a LR in need - the P38 is booked in for a refurb in the new year. 😊

Here she is on her long venture north, looking right at home already in the Scottish countryside. I'll be sticking around to keep you all updated on her new life on the Hebrides.
