I don’t know the answer to your question.
But the mirrors are doing their job so what’s the problem? No different to the interior mirror, probably both controlled by the same sensor. Had these on an Audi all road, thought they were a great addition TBH. |

No.
I have it on the Velar, it’s useful as the car behind doesn’t blind you at night. I find it’s easier to see rather than a mirror full of light. |

Does it do it for a low sun as well?
The big wing mirrors on my 90 are great, but they seem to be designed to reflect as much of a rearward setting/rising sun into my face as possible. |

Yeh I definitely find it helps with dimming lights - but its almost *too* good...
might just need getting used to - not had it before. Defender D240 First Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Wrapped roof in Gloss white. Few other dealer fitted extras. |

One query I have is why do you need an auto dimming rear view mirror inside if you have LR LimoTint privacy glass on the rear windows? I don’t think I’ve ever seen the RVM tint at night in any of the Range Rovers I’ve had with the auto dipping RVM. The privacy glass in my Mini Countryman was not so heavy a tint and the auto dipping RVM worked well and it was very noticeable when it had tinted itself. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

The rear view mirror dims fine through my Velars tinted windows.
