I was in NI when the war kicked off, and never managed to get a posting out there afterwards.
I would have loved to have had a cabby in one of these though....... Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond..... |

The 101 has a F.I. registration number as well so not (any longer) a Military vehicle.
There were a good few ex-military vehicles knocking about. The one I have to admit having a sneaky hankering for (disloyal, I know) was an ex-Argie Unimog that was still knocking about for a while until one of the Sqns shipped it home. |

This was the mid 90’s and it had been out of military service a good while! There were also a few G Wagens knocking about postwar that were used as sqn vehicles but they fell out of use when Mercedes refused to supply spares for them! Also on mount pleasant were a few argentine aircraft remains, we used a Huey fuselage to practice battle damage repairs when on exercise! Literally my chief walked up to it and stuck a hammer through the side of it and said ‘repair that’ 2003 Defender 110 TD5 SW
