[Wanted] Discovery 2 V8 or P38 post 2000 torque converter
Bit of a long shot. But you never know what someone might have squirrelled away on here

I'm looking to put a v8 torque converter in my defender auto conversion.

The V8 torque converter needs to be one out of a discovery 2 V8 or a Mems P38 4.0 or 4.6

the 4.0 and 4.6 TC are different sizes.

i may still have a 4.0 one, will have a look tomorrow. Cheers

If you could have a look that would be great.

From what I understand only the early 4.6 had the large TC later 4.6 came with the medium TC the same as the 4.0.

Unfortunately needs to be a later mems TC as being fitted between a TD5 and zf422hp

I should have a larger GEMS 4.6 V8 TC in the shed somewhere, I don't think that it went to the scrapper...

Thanks for the offer but needs to be a p38 mems or disco 2 v8 TC

A Gems TC won’t fit the box.

Ahh I see so it's the later THOR specific TC you're after my mistake. There are quite a number of P38 breakers around, might be worth giving them a call. Or one of the V8 specialists? 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

I've found a good few people selling the box and the TC together, but they have all been unwilling to split. i thought the TC would have been pretty easy to source with the amount of p38's and disco 2 v8's being broken
