I used to have an ex-SSE 110 Utility. Might be similar.

Was it a Puma? I think it would need to be as I’ve looked at TD5 vehicles ex-SSE and they didn’t have the features I’m trying to find out about. 2011 130 Utility Body

Last two could well be connected with a run-lock system.

OK, mine had no tow sockets on front bumper, just the winch.
The red warning light on the dash is illuminated when the dead man isolator key is installed for the winch (front of passenger seat box). Top right switch on dash for mine was beacons and amber LED strobes. |

Thanks both for that.
Red warning light for winch makes sense. My beacon switch is in that position too, but lower down on the flat bit of the dash to the right of the heater is a red push button, did yours have that? 2011 130 Utility Body 2005 110 Van |

depending on who ran it the western power one had winch control led socket on the bumper. red light was used to show if the winch had power and if it was in winch or hoist mode (lower rating)
the button was for key out run mode can bus was for laptop, radio/ comms unit plus some vehicle tracking and driver behaviour software |

Thanks, I’ll mess around with the red button on the basis it does that.
Bit by bit I’ll find out what everything does. There is a huge amount of wiring in it. 2011 130 Utility Body 2005 110 Van |

Interesting that you have the large drum, but low capacity, Husky on the bumper. What is the rated line pull of that version?

The rating on it is for hoisting not self-recovery. Bit of an odd one as winches go as the freespool lever is omitted. Been done in menufacture because the hole is blanked. 2011 130 Utility Body
