Incontrol problem

I’m hoping someone can advise me on the following issue.

I’ve had a message flash up on my infotainment screen asking me to enter my Incontrol password. I’ve tried entering my password but it rejects it and all I get is an ‘Unknown Error’ message. Strangely I can enter the same details on my Incontrol remote phone app and it connects without any issues.

Have you just completed the over the air update to V2.04? I got the same request with the same result yesterday after installing the update but it hasn’t returned after that initial request and I’ve just done a remote start to pre-warm the car before setting off for an off-road day and that connected OK. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Just been out to my car and checked for software updates. Version 04 has been downloaded and ready for install. I’ve initiated the install now so I’ll check later to what the state of play is.🤞

After numerous failed attempts to login to my Icontrol account in my car I’ve reset my password on the main site and I’ve now successfully logged in.

Interestingly my car is still showing v2.03 installed and no sign of any pending updates now.

Did you try to drive or move the. the car a short distance before starting the instal?
Here and elsewhere on the net people have remarked that the updates are being sent out to batches of cars so it may be hasn’t been sent to you yet. No, I just followed the onscreen instructions regarding switching off the engine and locking the car. I’ll go for short drive later and see what happens.
