I have found them to be competitive when taking out a new policy but less so when the renewal is due.
It still pays to shop around each year. Three years ago I moved all three of our vehicles onto an Aviva mutticar policy. It was by far a lot lower cost than taking out individual policies or a multicar policy with other insurers. On renewal an LV= multicar policy worked out best. Last year it was then more competitive to split the policies back to individual ones. This year the best deal was a move back to an LV= multicar policy, with a £90 Amazon voucher as a bonus. At least with the various insurance comparison websites it is relatively easy to shop around and price up the different options for similar levels of cover and excess. |

Hello Stacey007
I have a Multi Car Policy with LV. (3 in our garage) Around 5 years ago they improved this multi car option as 'others were gaining ground'. Typically with LV expect your NCD to be increased by 5% with a Multi Car Policy. I have just renewed our insurance and checked before doing so that I wasn't being 'taken advantage of' for being a loyal customer... it remained competitive. I also get a few extra % as have two other products with them, + breakdown insurance with Britannia (their preferred service). Good Luck SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |

I'm already with LV for my 110 with all the mod's declared, including remap, wheels, trim, etc
I recently changed one of my wife's to LV as much better. Just tried to do a multi car on line with LV adding the others and they don't insure one of them.. |

Sorry for any confusion!! I was meaning to check the prices for the individual vehicles using the price comparison sites and then enter the details for the multicar quotes with each multicar policy provider. I don't think there are any price comparison sites that will give you quotes from the multicar providers. GoCompare and Confused's multicar quotes seem to both be linked with Admiral. |

I have a multi car policy with Adrian Flux for my Daily (Seat Leon), my 127 and two S1s. I've found them to be very reasonable and understanding about 'old' cars. I was previously with Aviva who I can't fault but wouldn't touch my S1s. 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

I don't have a multi car policy but have my 3 Defender s all with forum sponsor A-Plan and very happy with premiums. With some 'new' and others on classic policies it didnt pay to have a multicar policy.
More interesting 5 cars!! So I know the 110 and S3 but... others??? IAlways thought it's a shame cars have to all be taxed and insured individually and you cant just tax and insure the driver Then you could have more cars to drive! You Right I we can only drive one at a time so there should be a better way luckily one of the good things about age is the insurance comes down. The Series is only around £100 a year with full breakdown.
So the Garage so far has --- LR Series III LR 110 Mini Clubman Cooper S Mercedes SLK350 then the 'other' one which I have yet to fully commit... So more update when I do |

We use Admiral and have a mixture of vehicles, ages and (until recently) a company car driver who was also added to all vehicles... Admiral have been very flexible in dealing with the variety of risks and you can also extend cover to include household cover.
Bizarrely, this also means we have our house on the policy, as does our daughter who lives elsewhere - it’s the family relationship, NOT the need to all be under the same roof! Our daughter had a fairly spectacular accident about 2 months into the (then) brand new cover - Admiral were both good with detailing with the claim and also didn’t get stupid with premiums thereafter. They do try their luck at renewal but have UK based call centres and will do the dance when you ring to ‘negotiate’... Worth a try I should think although they might not like the Series III! |
