Try swapping the headlights over and you’ll be able to tell if the issue is with the light or the wiring?
My money’s on the lights... Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

They look like JWSpeaker EVOI headlights to me. It might be worth checking the fuse and the H4 connection behind the headlight 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Appreciate the quick response. I must admit Ive wondered about a loose connection as the light started working fine albeit only for a short period of time. I just don't know how the wiring works from the headlight switch as oppose to the main beam on the indicator stalk thanks |

Gasher,
I had exactly the same failure mode on these lights after a few years of use. I’m afraid the fix was a set of Heated Dual Burn Evo 2s. An expensive day! |

Many thanks for your reply.
It's very helpful to know what the make of light is and as per your PM that its seems to be a fairly common fault. Ive found a company that seem to repair JW Speaker LED lights and their info sheet talks of this problem being caused by 'an interruption before the power cables reached the board' (see https://www.rdcustom.it/en/jw-speaker-full-led-repair). Anyway I have emailed them to see what that can do. Will update the post with their response in due course. Thanks again |

Yes very handy to know. The link did not work for me so googled their page and found the details on their blog pages.
Have posted the link again in case others have issues and it seems to work in the preview mode as I write this post. So hopefully will work for others. https://www.rdcustom.it/en/jw-speaker-full-led-repair Very interested in the costs and the service if you take it. I don’t have issues at present, but handy to know if I do. I hope it works out for you as they are great lights and it’s the first I’ve heard regarding issues with them. |

Interesting. Surely someone in the UK could do the same repair? Just search for your local electronics repair company.

One of my led headlights failed after a couple of weeks on dipped beam They are probably cheap versions which were fitted a month ago when I purchased the 13 plate Puma. The garage kindly sent a replacement which I’ve since fitted.
The failed one had something loose inside as I could hear a light rattle when I took it out. In my particular case, I suspect with the rock hard suspension and some deep potholes around here, the cheap versions maybe are not robust enough to receive the hammering they get....or maybe I just had a faulty one. |
