Spoke to Costco as they tend to be cheaper for Goodyear, the Duratrac in 265 75 16 is no longer being made. Same with the Pirelli Scorpion AT+. Seems the smaller sizes that suit the Defender are going out of production from a few companies.

Sorry but i have to disagree with your last paragraph on the KO2's. i had no problems with the KO's a good all rounder and i had 100% confidence in them. The KO2's are a different matter, as i do a fair few miles a year, they are not on Millie for to long, so, they are a good all rounder apart from when the road gets greasy, they don't grip like the KO's

and in the wet, water on the roads, puddles etc they are good but i have not got 100% confidence in them. Just to let you all know, i don't drive Millie like a loon as she is not built for that

I didn't swap them for anything else, i will still buy and have BFG's as they do what i want, i read all the tyre threads on here like a hawk, so always learning, but at the moment i can't find anything for me, that can replace the BFG's and i always have run 265/75/16 AT's

I forgot to add that in the snow and ice i am more than happy with the traction/grip they provide

I feel the same with mine on MTR’s. You just won’t stop on any tyre if you drive like that and asking for serious trouble.
Currently it’s treacherous out there as it is with grit, mud on roads and wet leaves etc.

Ah cool makes sense, I'm building my knowledge on the Landy after many years of track based car tyres and the like. I went for the Grabblers this time around as being in Scotland greasy wet roads are our usual state of affairs.

I'd have got the DurTracs if Costco could have got hold of them for me but they don't make in the 16 fitments anymore it seems. I also didn't fancy going to 18's on the truck.

Makes a lot of sense of the choice you have made living in Scotland and i think it's one of the hardest decisions to make on which tyre to run
