That looks like the same type that was fitted to our early petrol 90 so i would say from a pre-tdi model. 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread

The timber one was used for the "Special Flintstones Edition"
Right, so DA5300 is for post 91 Defenders, ie: https://www.paddockspares.com/cross-member-galv.html Does anyone know if this will fit my pre 91 Defender? I can't seem to find a part number to the actual pre 91 crossmember, yet alone finding a galvanised version... |

There are 3 types of gearbox cross members. All models 1983-2016 except efi V8 and 300 Tdi supersede to the latest Puma type KVB500060. This includes early tubular types. The second type is 300 Tdi only ANR3713. This has the transmission mounts on it. The third is V8 with twin catalyst front pipe NTC9241. These were used on NAS and special edition Defenders. These are 3 part angular tubular. Hope this helps. m

Sorry Low Boxer, I overlooked your post! So to summarise: The original cross member for pre 300tdi models is part number NTC9262 and is tubular - shown here: Click image to enlarge DA5300 superceeds the above and is also called KVB500060. These fit all Defenders except 300tdi's and V8's. Click image to enlarge Thanks everyone |
